The Free Governor elections are an integral pillar of the Hybrid Roman Federation. Our objective is to elect Governors from a pool of aspirants based on the historical regions of 1444—a definitive "Point Zero" for assessing historical justice. By analyzing this era alongside subsequent global events, we identify the path toward restoration, acknowledging the historical errors made by nations and leaders since that time.
In this framework, historical justice is viewed as a divine and non-arbitrary concept. Serving as the chief judge under God, the Federal Consul represents the enduring interests of Rome—the Rome of Union and Stability—while safeguarding the federation from the traditional and modern adversaries of the Roman legacy.
The Governance Structure: This democratic process establishes a community of Governors who, in turn, elect the Consuls of higher jurisdictions, including Client-Provinces and City-States.
The Appointment Process: Following the democratic vote, the Federal Consul maintains the authority to appoint a Governor after a rigorous due diligence check. To ensure the integrity of the Federation, the Consul may reject candidates based on fundamental principles, carefully balancing democratic will with candidate quality and unwavering loyalty to Rome.

These are not official government-level elections of present-day Nation-States. They relate to the resurrected ancient Roman Empire based on a new claim to Roman legacy. As ancient Rome is gone and there is no competitor in this space, our claim is legitimate as a parallel society.
